Qualified Electrical Worker Training
No single solution fits all employers and employees when it comes to qualified electrical worker training,
electrical safety programs or electrical certification. Needs, skills and risks vary from employer to
employer and job to job. Recognizing this, OSHA and the NFPA offer general guidelines for employers but
do not specifically define who is a qualified person, what jobs they may do, or what training they must
have. That is up to the employer to determine. This is where American Trainco can help.
As part of an overall qualified electrical worker program, many companies use American Trainco seminars as
a base for getting the required training their employees need. Electrical safety training is generally at
the top of the list followed by basic electrical classes next, before moving on to more focused topics like
VFD’s or PLCs. Many of our courses provide testing options so that students can get ATMT electrical
certification as well.
