Purpose of Seminar:
For the more advanced student who is already familiar with PLC’s or who has
taken one of our other PLC courses (PLC’s for the Non-Programmer or "Hands-On""
PLC’s: Operation, Installation, Maintenance & Troubleshooting), the purpose of this seminar
is to provide you with the skills needed to organize, plan, write, enter, test, and document
SLC500™ programs using the basic programming instructions and RSLogix™ software.
Students will learn to use specific advanced instructions. They will learn to edit,
upload, download, save, and restore as well as program specific ladder logic instructions.
The instructor will demonstrate the use of bit-level, timer, counter, conversion, math,
comparison, data manipulation, program control, and diagnostic instructions in detail,
then provide realistic situations that allow you to practice using these instructions.
Frequent "hands-on" practice is provided using an actual SLC500™ system
workstation.
Who should take this course?
This course is created for individuals who need to be able to modify and/or
write ladder logic programs for a SLC500™ processor using RSLogix500™ software.
Students attending this course should already have a basic understanding of PLC’s
as presented in our other PLC courses and a working knowledge of basic controls
and electrical principles.
Attendees come from a wide variety of industries, skill-levels, company sizes,
