Purpose of Seminar:

Many of a vehicle’s functions are already controlled by electricity, and someday soon, it is safe to say that just about every function on every vehicle will be controlled by electricity in some way. DC electrical applications are becoming much more common and complex. Therefore, it is critical that maintenance professionals stay on top of their game when it comes to working with this rapidly changing technology. This seminar is designed to do just that – keep you on top of the game!

DC (Direct Current) electricity is the same the world over – all manufacturers have to do the same things with this current, regardless of the manufacturer or color of the equipment. Because we are not affiliated with any manufacturer, the knowledge gained in this training will be applicable to all types and sizes of equipment and vehicles.

While attending this course students will not only be given a refresher covering the fundamentals, theory and components involved with DC electrical systems, but they will also gain an in-depth knowledge of how to safely and accurately troubleshoot these systems so they can quickly determine which components are necessary to replace. And because we know time is money, this seminar is designed to have immediate impact so that you can start eliminating costly guesswork on your repairs today. We approach our students as if they were our own employees. We give them real world, practical knowledge, and students attending this course are expected to go back to their workplace and immediately apply what they have learned. Now that’s “Real World” training!

Who should take this course?

This course is designed for anyone who needs to understand and troubleshoot DC electrical systems in fleet, transportation and mobile equipment vehicles. Attendees come from a wide variety of industries, skill-levels, company sizes, and backgrounds, so if you're not sure you'll fit in or will benefit from these classes, don't worry - you will - as long as you work with DC electricity!

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

All students attending our seminars receive a personalized Certificate of Completion and .8 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) per day of training. Over 40,000 employers and government agencies who have sent their employees to our classes accept American Trainco CEUs for continuing education requirements. Our administration and record keeping practices meet or exceed the standards of ACE (American Council on Education) and we are able to provide transcripts of all classes attended and tests taken by individual students. Please contact us if our CEUs are not yet accepted by your authority. We will initiate an application to get the approval process started.
