We have three requirements before we consider using anyone as an instructor. They must have a relevant formal education. They must have real-world work experience in the industrial subject they want to teach and be leaders in their field. And they must have sufficient teaching experience, because we want people who are experts at delivering instruction as well as in their subject matter area.

Being expert educators and leaders in their field means our instructors can connect with students and provide them with the specific information they need to make an immediate impact at their jobs. As exceptional communicators and technical knowledge experts, they are capable of providing students with all the information they need from memory, although we provide educational aids to improve seminar effectiveness.

We encourage them to assess the abilities of each class and customize the seminar to match, focusing on general knowledge or in-depth details and problems depending on if they have a room full of novices or expert technicians. We expect this level of involvement and participation from trainers whether they are working with experts in an in-house seminar or helping a group of new technicians in PLC courses.

We only hire industry experts, and many of our instructors have written books and industry articles, are accomplished conference speakers and webinar presenters, and sit on organizational boards. We can provide biographies and credentials for specific instructors upon request. Even though they are the best in their fields, American Trainco instructors keep themselves current on technology and industry trends by attending their own seminars and workshops, and by visiting new industrial sites to get to know the tools. And we ensure they keep their skills sharp and licenses active through American Trainco peer review meetings.
